Asteroids - Blasted

You know how it goes... blast the asteroids before they smash you and watch out for that pesky UFO trying to hunt you down.

 A modern take on the classic arcade shooter, specifically designed around the use of a game controller (though keyboard can also be used). The experience centres around the beautifully fluid control mechanics of the player ship. The intense action is balanced by an intuitive UI and a haunting ambient soundtrack that echoes the cold, isolating void of deep space. Includes an engine sound that is taken from an actual recording of the space shuttle Columbia at lift off. 

A useful flight assist slider allows you to choose whether you come to a gentle stop after releasing the throttle or continue to drift endlessly through the void of space until you make a burn in the opposite direction.

This is the first time I've published a project so, would really, really appreciate any feedback you have regarding gameplay, graphics, sounds, bugs or extra features you might like to see.
